CASE STUDY OF A SUCCESSFUL CADASTRAL AUDIT OF HOTEL ASSETS

1. THE SITUATION

A company hired us to carry out a study of all its hotel assets and minimize the annual cost of paying real estate tax (IBI). The company is confident that it can reach a positive result in order to reduce the general structure costs.

2. OUR SOLUTION

Tinsa carried out a preliminary report to quantify which assets had a chance of success and to what extent it was possible to demonstrate to the General Directorate of Cadastre that the properties were incorrectly computed for some concept, which meant revising both future IBI receipts and the amounts paid in the last four years.

Subsequently, technical reports were prepared on each of the potentially claimable assets in order to present to the Administration the corrections suggested for technical defects found in the cadastral valuation.
