This is a well-established concept, well known in the legal sphere and used primarily in the liquidation of joint property (divorces) and in the distribution of herencia. By household goods valuation, we refer to the entire contents of the home, excluding certain
types of property. These are:
- Jewelry, jewelry, etc.
- Artistic and historical objects.
- Other elements of extraordinary value.
- Elements that are considered as part of the Property:
- Kitchen furniture
- Built-in closets
- Fixed bathroom furniture
- Elements of household installations such as boilers, water heaters, air conditioners, etc.

- Personal items such as laptops, cell phones, tablets, glasses, clothing, etc.
- Expendable material.
In the case of wanting to value a specific list of items, for example: three chairs, two sofas, a washing machine and a computer, the client must provide a complete list of the goods to be valued and the assignment would be limited to those goods. This type of report could include the items that are excluded in the trousseau. This does not exclude the possibility of adding in a trousseau valuation some items that would normally be excluded, such as jewelry, for example. In this case, everything outside the trousseau would require such a listing by the client.
A visit is always carried out. In case this is impossible, because there is no access to the goods, they have been removed or any other reason, the valuation may be made by means of photographs provided by the client or by a detailed list of items to be valued. In this case, the report will reflect this circumstance, and the values will be conditioned.
For a basic trousseau, the delivery time is 7 days from the technician's visit. It will increase depending on the volume, square meters or quantity of goods to be valued.
Trial attendance is not included. If required, it will be budgeted separately.
If it is a valuation of the complete trousseau, the address of the Property is sufficient. If it is only a list of furniture, it is essential to provide a list of the goods to be valued.
