Download full reportThe price of new and existing dwellings increased by 0.1% compared to the previous quarter (Q4 2023), bringing the year-on-year change to 3.3%. The IMIE Local Markets for the first quarter of 2024 shows strong price growth in the municipalities with the highest tourism component and a slowdown in the employment centres and their metropolitan areas. Housing prices in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona fell by 1.1% and 0.7% respectively on a quarterly basis, although they are still 3.9% and 2.6% more expensive than a year ago. The Annual theoretical effort ratio in Spain is 34.3%.
